Ms. Ruby Yvonne Rowell, age 87, of Fairmont, NC passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC.

Ms. Rowell was born September 18, 1936 in Wake County to the Late Neil Brown and the late Ruby Ivey Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Brown and Howard Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Connie Bennett of Fairmont, NC and Theresa Ivey of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, Rev. Jimmy Brown (Carol) of Raeford, NC and Douglas Brown (Teresa) of Dillon, SC; one sister, Doris Daniels of New Port Richey, Fl.; three grandchildren, Sheila Bennett (Hugh), Lindsay Smith (Houston), and Megan Bengtson (Joshua), three  great  grandchildren, Chelsea Bennett (Zack), Alexis Pittman-Meares (A.J.); and  Isaac Smith, and seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

During the years Ms. Rowell wore many hats in the workplace. From an enterprising business woman, to healthcare and finally enjoying children, she was happy in most any setting.

A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC. A graveside service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in Floyd Memorial Cemetery across from the funeral home at 2:00 PM.
