Mrs. Ruby Ann Britt Rising, age 78, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at her residence. She was born on December 14, 1944 to the late Leon C. Britt and the late Ruby Phillips Britt.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Stephen M. Rising of the home; her children, Sharon Wilkerson (Stevie) of Holden Beach, NC and Stephen A. Rising (Annette) of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Peggy Farnsworth of Lumberton, NC; four grandchildren: Michael Anthony Rising, Stephen Travis Wilkerson, Kellie Sluder (Mike), and Samantha Wells (Rick); five great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 1:00-2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rodney Evers officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
