Mrs. Ruby Lee Hunt Oxendine, 92, of Pembroke, NC passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021.

She was born January 31, 1929 in Robeson County, NC to the late William Hunt and Alifare Chavis Hunt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Crawford Oxendine; three sons: James Arthur Hunt, Crosby Oxendine, and C.L. "Red" Oxendine; a daughter, Gwendalyn Oxendine; a brother, Pete Hunt; and a sister, Sadie Hunt.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Christopher Oxendine of Orrum, NC; three daughters, Betty Carol Oxendine Hunt of Lumberton, NC, Melissa Oxendine Lowery and husband Dewey of Fairmont, NC, and Tena Oxendine Whitted and husband John of Lumberton, NC; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 2:00 PM at New Point Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Smith and Rev. Jeff Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the Oxendine Family Cemetery.
