Ruby Evelene Wilson Meadows, 81, of 283 Beulah Church Road in Lumberton, went home to Jesus on March 11, 2012. Ruby was born October 14, 1930 in High Point, NC, the daughter of James and Nora Wilson. Ruby was born again in 1956. She was preceded to heaven by her husband of 42 years, Billy Alton Meadows.

Ruby is preceded in death by four brothers. She is survived by one brother, Steve Wilson of Greensboro. Ruby is the mother of two sons, Mark William Meadows of Lumberton and Adam Keith Meadows of Greensboro and two daughters, Debra Neal Meadows of Lumberton and Kelly Wood of Simpsonville, SC. Ruby is grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She worked as a manager of bakeries and deli??s for Food World, Bestway and Piggly Wiggly supermarkets until her retirement. She is a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Lumberton.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Antioch Baptist Church in Lumberton at 7:00PM. Visitation will follow the services.
