Roy William Taylor, age 95, died at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC on Thursday, December 24, 2009. He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 10, 1914 to Walter and Lila Brisson Taylor. He was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Addie Lee Kinlaw Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by one son, Leroy Taylor and wife Pat of Leland, NC; three daughters, Emily Taylor and Laura Betty Britt and Husband, J.L. all of Lumberton, NC and Trudy Hardin and husband, Charles of Charleston, SC; two sisters, Thelma Bullock of Farmville, VA and Kathleen Rogers of Hollister, CA; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
