Roy Junior Locklear, age 71, of Fairmont, NC passed away at Greenbrier Nursing Home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

Roy was born in Robeson County on September 29, 1954 to Andrew Locklear and Chrissie Jacobs Locklear. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Timmy Locklear.

During his lifetime Roy worked many jobs. He was a painter, roofer and did general construction. It could be said that he was a jack-of-all trades.

Roy is survived by his sisters, Rachel Hunt and husband, Glen; Betty Jacobs, Livian Hunt and husband Bobby, and Mary R. Hunt; brothers, Ronald Locklear and wife, Joni, Larry Locklear, and Ted Locklear; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will have a Celebration of his life at a later date.
