Rose Mary (Gibson) Hunt Brooks, 63 years old, was born on April 9, 1957 in Washington County, NC.  She entered into eternal rest and in the arms of our Heavenly Father on Friday, April 24, 2020 at her home in Fairmont.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Gibson and Rose Lee Benton; her husband, Bobby Ray Hunt, Sr.; and her son, Bobby Ray Hunt, Jr.

She is survived by four daughters, Kayolyeeon "Kay" Hunt of the home, Bobbie Hunt Cogdell (Karrem) of Hope Mills, Crystal Rose Hunt of Fairmont, and Santanna Shanadora Brooks of Fairmont; her husband, Bowman Brooks, Jr. of Fairmont, NC; one brother, James Gibson (April) of Columbia, NC; two sisters, Ida Miller (Randy) of Kinston, NC and Tina Brock (Jimmy) of New Bern, NC; four step-children, Shawn Ransom (Jerrica), Shanna Brooks, Jonathan Brooks (Rhonda) and Sheranda Brooks, all of Pembroke.  She loved and helped raise numerous others that have always remained close and dear to her heart; twenty -two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Shaniya Rae Hunt and a very special friend, Teresa Griffin.

A private graveside service will be held at the Hunt Family Cemetery on South Robeson Rd. in Rowland.
