Rosa Lee Hobson Rodgers, age 83, of Lumberton, NC died on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Cumberland County, NC on July 18, 1929 to the late Walter James Hobson and the late Bessie Mae Butler. She previously worked for Acme Electric in the finishing department.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, June Rodgers; a son, John Carl Rodgers; a brother, Tommy Hobson; and a sister, Mary Grace Hobson.

Mrs. Rodgers is survived by two sons, Jimmy Rodgers and wife Betty of Lumberton and Thomas E. Rodgers of Red Springs; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Coxe and husband Larry of Blenheim, SC; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 3:00 PM at East Lumberton Baptist Church with Rev. Leroy Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
