Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Gene Strickland, age 68, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at his home. He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 29, 1952 to the late Dennis A. Strickland and the late Margaret Combs Strickland.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and he was also a local contractor in Robeson and surrounding counties for over thirty years. He most enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Trudi Strickland of the home; his children, Jeremy Strickland and wife Morgan of Pinehurst, NC and Courtney Strickland of Lumberton, NC; four grandchildren: E.J. Locklear, William Strickland, Margaret Strickland, and Mac Strickland; and three brothers: Dale Strickland and wife Cheryl of Johnsonville, SC, Gary Strickland and wife Karon of Fayetteville, NC, and David Strickland and wife Debbie of Lumberton, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Gary Strickland officiating.
