Ronald Keith Deese, age 53, of Fairmont, NC transitioned from his earthly body to his heavenly home on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.

He was born May 21, 1966 in Scotland County, NC. He was a 1985 graduate of Purnell Swett High School. He married the love of his life Norman Freeman on November 12, 2005. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He loved helping people, fishing and playing the drums. Ronald never met a stranger and was a friend to many people, even people his family didn't even know. He was employed as an auto mechanic for the city of Lumberton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Locklear, Sr. and Ellen Thompson Deese; a sister, Sarener Moser; a nephew, Spencer Freeman.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of fourteen years, Norma Jean Freeman Deese of the home; two brothers, Billy Dean Locklear, Jr. (Ponell) of Rowland, NC and Michael Locklear of Maxton, NC. He is also survived by his brother's and sister's-in-law's whom he loved very dearly. Ernestine Page of Lumberton, NC and Shari Carter (Tommy) of Fairmont, Lindell Freeman (Dovie), and Jamie Freeman (Kena) all of Lumberton, NC, Ronald Freeman (Lori) of Lexington, NC and Daryl Freeman (Machari) of  Las Cruces, New Mexico; a foster brother-in-law, Jimmy Jones (Belinda) of Lumberton, NC; special nieces and nephews, Kristen, Noah, Kenleigh, Josetta, Jeremy, Justin, Jason, Hope, Beonca; great niece and nephews, Victoria, Christian, Camden and Jaylen ; special friends, Ben Freeman, Shirley Dale, Chad, Kaitlyn and Cookie; also his church family (Pleasant View); as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
