Retired CMSgt. Rogers Vernon Morice, Sr., age 86, of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Fayetteville VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. He was born in St. Louis, MO on October 6, 1926 to the late Robert Morice and the late Freda Meyer Morice. He proudly served his country for 30 years in the Navy and the US Air Force.

Mr. Morice is survived by his wife, Evelyn Oxendine Morice, of the home; two sons, Rogers Vernon Morice, Jr. and wife, Lynn, of St. Louis, MO, and Richard ??Dick? Morice of Cibolo, TX; one daughter, Michele ??Shell? Morice, of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Robert ??Bud? Morice, of Wildwood, MO; one sister, Jackie Morice, of Florrisant, MO; two grandchildren, Jourdanne Morice and Richard Morice, Jr.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton.

Burial will be held at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 2:00 PM in Spring Lake, NC.
