Roger Grant Sessoms, age 79, of Lumberton, NC died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  He was born in Harnett County, NC on March 2, 1937 to the late Raymond Sessoms and the late Hazel Jenkins Sessoms.  He was a North Carolina State Revenue Officer.  He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard.

Mr. Sessoms is survived by his wife, Ramona W. Sessoms of the home; a son, Rowland Grant Sessoms of Lumberton; a daughter, Lisa Sessoms Kaplan of Fayetteville; a brother, Phillip Sessoms of Monroe, MI; sisters, Barbara Fuller of Quitman, MS, Brenda Whittaker of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Dale Matthews of Coats; and three grandchildren, Aaron, Isaac, and Rivka Kaplan..

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church with Pastor Gene Wayman officiating.  Entombment will follow in Trinity Episcopal Church.  A reception will follow the service at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1202 N. Chestnut Street.
