Mr. Rodney Fields, age 41, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at his home. He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 12, 1979 and following high school, he joined the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his parents, Eugene Fields, Sr. and Nancy Taylor Fields of Lumberton, NC; a brother, Eugene Fields, Jr. and wife Rhonda of Lumberton, NC; a sister, Jennifer Fields Wilkins and husband Kenny of Travelers Rest, SC; five nieces: Andrea Fields Martinez of Lumberton, NC, Jessica Gamez of Lumberton, NC, Jessica Hickman of Hope Mills, NC, and Tori Wilkins and Jenna Wilkins, both of Travelers Rest, SC; a nephew, Josh Hickman of Clayton, NC; two great-nieces, Olivia and Allison; and five great-nephews: Landon, Li'l Jay, Elijah, Silas, and Robert.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, December 11, 2020, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Midway Baptist Church in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. Tony Stevens and Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Family Cemetery on Beulah Church Road in Lumberton, NC.
