Rodney Jack Dowless, age 55, of Lumberton, NC died on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 1, 1954 to Ernest John Dowless and Gertrude Jackson Dowless. He worked for Servomation Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest John & Gertrude Jackson Dowless and a granddaughter Kayla Dawn Johnson.

Mr. Dowless is survived by a daughter, Alicia Dowless Johnson and husband, Buddy of Clayton, NC; a sister Linda Copeland and husband, Junior Darrol of Lumberton, NC; one grandchild, Mandie Johnson; three nephews, Ernest David McLamb and wife, Vicky, , Albert Lee McLamb and wife, Brenda and Rodney Gerald McLamb and wife, Tina; three great-nephews and two great-nieces.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. George Conner and Rev. James Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hollywood Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton.
