Mrs. Roberta Musselwhite Jones, age 94, of Fairmont, NC, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on July 14, 1932 to the late Carl & Etta Musselwhite.

She was a woman of deep Christian faith who loved Jesus above all else. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply, pouring her heart into caring for others as a registered nurse for forty years. She found joy in watching birds, tending her flowers and vegetable garden, and sewing her own clothes. Music was her soul—she played the piano for her church, family and for her own pleasure. She was endlessly curious about the world around her, always asking questions, learning new things, and doing crossword puzzles. She documented the world around her and the lives she loved in the pages of her journal, leaving behind a rich record of a truly unique and talented life.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husbands, John P. Sellers and Ennis Jones, and sister, Caroline Wilkes Potter.

She is survived by her children: Susan Burriola and husband Scott Burriola, Keith Sellers and wife Janice Sellers, and Lori Sellers and husband Sandy Floyd; her grandchildren: William Burriola (Nina), Michelle Britt (Mike), Brad Sellers (Crystal), and Christie Russell (John); and her great-grandchildren: Bennett Colna, Addison Britt, Bradley Sellers, Caleb Sellers, and John Tyler Russell.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Anthony Rich officiating. A private family burial will follow.
