Mr. Robert Dewayne Wood, age 33, of Lumberton, was born on January 2, 1979 and departed this life on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center of Lumberton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Wood and a special cousin, Burton Locklear.

He leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Austin Dewayne Wood, Christian Dewayne Wood, and Dylan Landon Wood; their mother, Amy Chavis Davis; his mother, Olivia Wood Mauney and husband Sam Mauney; two brothers Dexter Hunt and Lacy Jr. Locklear; a special sister, Elizabeth Chavis Oxendine; two special cousins Tim Locklear and Johnny Paul Loclklear; his step-brother, Samuel A. Mauney and his step-sister, Susan Mauney.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 7:00-9:00PM at First Apostolic Church, 241 Henry Berry Road in Pembroke. Burial will be in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 3:00PM at First Apostolic Church, 241 Henry Berry Road in Pembroke.
