Mr. Robert Stanley, age 66, of Rowland passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Benson Chapel Baptist Church at 3:00PM with Revs. Johnny Locklear and Jackson Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in Benson Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 7:00PM until 9:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. He was born April 6, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland. He served twenty four years in the Military. He was a member of The Thunder Birds. He attended Robeson Community College and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a degree in Criminal Justice. He was a Correctional Officer and Probation Officer of Scotland County. He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Oxendine. He is survived by his wife, Judy Locklear Stanley, of the home; two sons, Christopher Stanley of Rowland and Robert Stanley, Jr. of Ca.; three daughters, Katherine Parker of Rowland, Angela Stanley of Utah, and Heather (Brandon) Eby of England.; his mother, Frances Ann Hudgins of Va.; one brother, Floyd Oxendine of Utah; three sisters, Kim (Glenn) Bartlett, Lena Oxendine, and Kathy (Russell) Rice, all of Va.; five grandchildren; two special friends, James A. Chavis and Jayden Oxendine.
