Robert Wayne McBride, Sr., age 56, passed away at his home. He was born in Baltimore, MD on September 24, 1968.

Robert lived a rich and varied life. He was a lifelong truck driver who loved to play drums, hunting and fishing, collectibles, classic cars, and guns. Friends knew him as "Hot Rod".

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee McBride, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Christy McBride of the home; his mother, Linda Dale (Crittendon) McBride; his brother, Douglas James McBride (Crystal Lyn) of Lumberton, NC; his sons, Robert Wayne McBride, Jr. (Jackie) of Ridgeley, WV, Byron McBride (Danielle) of Lumberton, NC, and Jonathan McBride (Rebecca); his daughters, Victoria Norman (Eddie) and Rebekah Zegles (Tyler), both of Ft. Ashby, WV; his stepson, Austin Sykes (Lauren) of Bladenboro, NC; and 12 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM.
