Robert Danny Smith, age 63, of Lumberton, NC died on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on January 22, 1953 to the late Robert E. Smith and the late Delma Lawson Smith.  He worked in textiles as a machine operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Barry Ellison Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his sisters, Teresa Diggers (Ronald) of Lumberton, and Brenda Bringle (Ken) of Pembroke; nephews, Jeff Britt, Michael Britt, and Trae Kinlaw; a great-niece, Keelee Britt; a great-nephew, Jo Jo Britt; a special friend, Ellen McPherson; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016  from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Michael Bowen officiating.  Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery.
