Robert Franklin ??Sharp? Sessoms, 86, of 990 Wesley Pines Road Apt. B1, died Thursday,
May 29, 2008 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was born to the late Sam and
McKella Barnes Sessoms on August 7, 1921 in Robeson County.
He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, William E. Sessoms, French Sessoms and
Fentress Sessoms.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Baxley Sessoms of the home; 2 daughters, Barbara Fitzgerald
and husband, Thomas of Lumberton and Gail Lassiter and husband, Mitchell of Lumberton; 1
brother, Wilton Sessoms and wife, Bill of Lumberton; 2 grandchildren, Amy Schnider and
husband, Michael and Mitch Lassiter; and 6 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Floyd Memorial Chapel with
Rev. LeRoy Burke officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Floyd Mortuary &
Crematory, Inc.
