Robert Daniel Hartwell, 68, of Lumberton, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Virginia Weese Hartwell; a son, Robert Chance Hartwell; and a sister, Mary Gross.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Diann Hartwell of the home; his children: Brandee Feury and Megan Watson, both of Lumberton, NC, Marissa Jefferson (Nickolas) of Hope Mills, NC, Michael Kidd of Roanoke, VA, and Nathan Hartwell of Franklin, WV; a brother, Larry Hartwell of Lynchburg, VA; five sisters: Josephine Jones and Wanda Hatfield, both of Princeton, WV, Shirley Akers and Janet Bowling, both of Hiawatha, WV, and Linda Pennington of Matoaka, WV; 11 grandchildren: Bryan Powell, Charity Powell, Ahnaleigh Feury, Addrianna Feury, Chase Brunner, Kadence Watson, Sunnie Register, Solomon Register, Nicklaus Jefferson, Zaralynn Jefferson, and Bentley Locklear; and a special nephew, Matthew Lovette of Lumberton.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 9, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Trinity Holiness Church in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Holiness Church in Lumberton, NC with Pastor Jamie Lewter officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
