Mr. Robert Lewis Goins, Sr., age 81, of Fairmont, NC, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at his residence.  He was born in Hoke County on December 10, 1937 to the late Daniel Joel Goins and the late Clara Flowers Locklear.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Ray Burns, Rev. Tracy Locklear, and Bishop Kenny Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at McDonald Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery in McDonald, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters: Thessalonia Jacobs, Helen "Pinkie" Shaw, and Carolyn Williams; and two grandchildren, Timothy Robert Lewis Goins and Robert Lewis Goins III.

He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Betty Hunt Goins of the home; three sons: Curtis Barksdale and wife Shelia, Zimmie Goins and wife Tammie, and Robert Lewis Goins, Jr., all of Fairmont; two daughters, Holly Miramontes and husband David and Pernella Parias and husband Nicolas, all of Fairmont; four brothers: Jimmy Goins of Sebring, FL, Monroe Goins and Daniel Goins, both of Fairmont, and Manning Goins of Lumberton; along with sixteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
