Robert Glenn Chaney, age 70, died Friday, July 26, 2013 at his residence in Lumberton, NC. Bob was born on May 10, 1943 in Cramerton, NC. He graduated from Cramerton High School and Kings Business College and continued his work in textiles until his retirement from Alamac American Knits in Summer 2012. Bob loved life, his family and his friends. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, warm heart and loving personality. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, July 29th, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Chestnut Street United Methodist Church in Lumberton. The family will receive friends in Asbury Hall immediately following the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Fannie Chaney. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of forty-seven years, Ann Thompson Chaney, and daughters Kristin Chaney Lyczak and spouse, J. and Meredith Chaney Minear and spouse, Todd. He is survived by one brother, Richard and wife, Terri and one granddaughter, Anna Thompson Minear.
