Mr. Richard "Ricky" Lewis Atkinson, age 68, of Orrum, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024. He was born in Lumberton, NC on August 13, 1955 to the late Oliver Atkinson and Ruby Wilkerson.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Shane Stone.

Richard was survived by two brothers, Keith Atkinson (Mandy) of Orrum, NC and Stevie Wilkerson (Sharon) of Holden Beach, NC; two sisters, Lynn Bass (Billy) of Orrum, NC and Jennifer Atkinson Garner (Jason) of Hartsville, SC; three nephews: Josh Stone, Lee Spearman, and Travis Wilkerson, all of Orrum, NC; two nieces, including a special niece, Shay Atkinson of Orrum, NC, and Ferrain Bass of Red Springs, NC; and a special friend, Dixie Jacobs Atkinson of Orrum, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Fairmont Cemetery, off Hwy 130 in Fairmont, NC, with Pastor Shon Pevia officiating.
