Ricki Jean Mills, 73, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born July 24, 1943 in Mecklenburg County to the late Clyde and Ruby Norris. She was a registered nurse who worked in healthcare since 1978 at various places, during which time she touched many lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her significant other Ed Blount, Jr. of the home; one son, Clyde Norris Spivey and wife Heather of Lumberton; three daughters: Runell Spivey Carpenter and husband Scott of Lumberton, Benji Spivey Nealy and fiancé Bobby Hester of Lumberton, and Christi Lynn Spivey of Pawleys Island, SC; three stepchildren: Anita Hardy of Lumberton, Anthony Smith of Brooklyn, NY, and Latoya Lane of Manassas, VA; eight grandchildren: Jessica Thomas, Robert Nealy, Damien Spivey, Kodie Carter, Elizabeth Pekarek, Alex Bryant, Cari Anna Spivey, and Evan Spivey; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 4, 2017, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the home of Clyde & Heather Spivey, 5307 Camellia Lane, Lumberton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Southeastern Hospice House, 1100Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358.
