Richard "Aaron" Prescott, age 33, of Tar Heel, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on February 6, 1990.

Aaron was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Evander DeVone and his brother, Jonathan Timothy Prescott.

He is survived by his mother, Melanie DeVone Prescott of Tar Heel; his two daughters, Harper Ava Prescott and Cora Jade Prescott; his maternal grandmother, Daphyne Gail Hawes of Bladenboro; his uncles, Richard Keith DeVane and Don Christopher Hawes, both of Bladenboro; his aunt, Cynthia Kay DeVane of Bladenboro; two nephews, Connor Dalton Prescott and Greyson River Prescott and his girlfriend, Francesca Forbes of Tar Heel.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 1:00-2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will follow the visitation on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tommy Puryear officiating.  Burial will follow at Bladen Memorial Gardens in Bladenboro.
