Mr. Richard Owen Callahan, 63, of Lumberton, NC, departed this life on Earth and entered into his heavenly home on Monday, November 15, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC with his family by his side. He was born in Robeson County, NC on March 24, 1958 to the late Albert & Louise Callahan.

Richard had a passion for working on cars and he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. Although Richard didn't have any kids of his own, he always treated his nieces and nephews as his own.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lillie Mae Hoppe; three brothers: Edward "Ed" Callahan, Laverne Callahan, and William "Bill" Callahan.

He leaves to cherish his memories with four sisters: Linda Faye Callahan (Chub), Gail Little (Bert), Wanda Barton, and Lisa Oxendine (Michelle); three brothers: Jerry Callahan (Glenda), Ronald "Curly" Callahan (Geneva), and Sammy Callahan; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members; and 5 special friends: Donald Barnes, Tommy Branch, Russell Baxley, Joe Henson, and W.J. Stone.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
