Rhonda Marie Whitaker, age 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025. She was born on June 26, 1963, in Philadelphia, PA, to Ronald George Mayfield and Shirley Marie Whitaker.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved sisters, Christine Whitaker and Shanti Whitaker.

Affectionately known as "Rhonda – Yolanda" by those who knew her, Rhonda was an outgoing soul who brought her party and dancing spirit wherever she went. Her bold & vibrant personality made her stand out in any atmosphere. She especially loved watching the Food network every day, often drawing inspiration for her own culinary creations to prepare the best meals for her family and friends.

As one of the most passionate Micheal Jackson fans, Rhonda never missed a chance to celebrate every birthday with Micheal Jackson themes. It is the funniest understatement how many times Rhonda watched the Rocky movie series as she always had such an affection for the actor Sylvester Stone.

Rhonda leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her children: son Rashaan Whitaker and daughter-in-law (Lateisha) of Lumberton, NC; her two beautiful daughters Nikeya Whitaker, and Daureena Whitaker. She is also survived by her brother, Antonio Whitaker of Philadelphia, PA; and her cherished grandchildren: Kevin, Justice, Tony, Aden, Bella, Rashaan II, and Royale, and a host of family & friends.

Rhonda will be so deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in all our hearts.
