Rebecca Sue Nelson Freeman, age 74, of Fuquay-Varina, NC, formerly of Robeson County, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Wake Med in Raleigh. She was born in Greensboro, NC on October 27, 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Mitchell Freeman; a daughter, Cassie Freeman; and her only sister, Carolyn Dunbar. Mrs. Freeman is survived by her sons, David Freeman of Fayetteville and John Freeman of Raleigh; daughters, Laurie Roush of Greenville, Susan Taylor of Lumberton, Cindy Fields of Richmond, VA, and Jeannie Wright of Fuquay-Varina; seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. Tony Stevens officiating.
