Mr. Raymond Jay Van Giesen, 90, husband of the late Sylvia Sessoms Van Giesen, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. He was a World War II veteran, an avid sports car enthusiast and he enjoyed traveling, music, and was very artistic. He is survived by two daughters, Jessica Scottie Sparks, of Lumberton, and Marian Ruth Inman, of Hope Mills, a son, J. Steven Van Giesen and partner, Debbie, of Indiana, one brother, Richard Van Giesen and wife, Donna, of Ripley, NY, four sisters, Lois Shioleno and husband, Lewis, of North East, PA, Jean Van Giesen, of New York, NY, Amy Martin and husband, Robert, of Grand Rapids, MI, and Joanne Erwin and husband, Paul, of Silver Creek, NY, five grandchildren, and seven great-granddaughters.
