Ray S. Taylor, age 77, of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Highland Acres Nursing Home in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on September 20, 1934 to the late Evan Taylor and the late Goldie Simmons Taylor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Margaret Britt Taylor, of the home; three sons, Clifton Ray Taylor and wife, Debbie of Casa Grande, AZ, John Evan Taylor of Lumberton and Kenneth Benjamin Taylor of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, Sandy Green and husband, Randy of Lumberton and Bonny T. Brisson of Lumberton; one brother, John W. Taylor of Rockingham, NC; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dennis Bundy officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
