Randy Dayton "Taz" Hursey, Jr., age 19, of Fairmont, NC passed away Monday, December 19, 2022, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. Known by all his family and friends as "Taz", he was born April 28, 2003 in Robeson County, North Carolina.

Taz enjoyed going fishing, hunting and spending time with his friends and family. He was very excited about the soon arrival of his daughter.

Taz leaves to cherish his memories his father and stepmother, Randy Dayton Hursey and Danielle Oxendine of the home; his mother and stepfather, Joann Chavis and Thomas Davis of Dillon, SC; one sister, Alexis Hursey of Fairmont, NC; his fiancée, Shalana Hunt of Fairmont, NC, and their baby girl, Tazlynn Rayne Hursey (due May 2023); his maternal grandparents, Cleveland and Delois Chavis of Fairmont, NC; his paternal grandparents, Randy and Belinda Hursey of Fairmont, NC; one uncle, Rodney Chavis; three aunts: Kim Locklear, Christie Ransom, and TT Hursey; a special grandma, Joy Hunt and a special uncle, Justin "J" McNeill; and a host of other relatives and special friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, December 28, 2022, from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 2:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont, NC. Burial will follow in Little Zion Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, 1 Coledustin Drive, off Midway Road, in Maxton, NC.
