Randy Wayne Floyd, age 68, of Lumberton, NC, entered his heavenly home on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Duke University Hospital. Born on May 17, 1957, in Robeson County, NC, he was the son of the late Mark Floyd and Joyce Anderson Floyd.

Randy will be remembered for his joyful spirit, kind heart, and deep love for the Lord. He had a special way of connecting with others, often saying, "My people, my people," with a familiar shake of his head that brought smiles to those around him. He found happiness in life's simple pleasures, listening to music, watching westerns, and enjoying a good steak, but his greatest joy was the relationships he built and the faith he lived.

He was a proud veteran whose career spanned construction, truck driving, and service as a correctional officer. Randy was a longtime and devoted member of Long Branch Baptist Church, where he found fellowship and strength.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Eugene Floyd.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Joni Floyd Thomas (Jody) of Orrum and Travis Floyd of Lumberton; his siblings, Mark Floyd of Wilmington, Terri Floyd Thompson (Danny) of Lumberton, Lisa Floyd Tyson of St. Pauls, and Beverly Floyd Cox (Danny) of Proctorville; his grandsons Dylan Thomas, Logan Thomas and Ethan Thomas of Orrum along with many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

A graveside service to celebrate Randy's life and faith will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
