Ralph H. Ussery, 94, of Lumberton, NC, passed away at his home on Friday, August 19, 2022. He was born in Lee County, NC on April 9, 1928 to the late William Henry Ussery and the late Lacy Cook Ussery.

Ralph graduated from Fayetteville High School and attended UNC Chapel Hill. He worked for A&P for 38 years and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Lumberton. He was the oldest member of the Kiwanis Club in Lumberton and loved supporting the Carolina Tar Heels.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Gales Ussery; three brothers: Billy Ussery, Raymond Ussery, and William Ussery; and a son-in-law, Louis C. Lindsey.

He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Lindsey of Myrtle Beach, SC and Marsha Kinlaw and husband Tommy of Lumberton, NC; his grandchildren, Lance Lindsey and Margaret and Melissa Brooks and husband Niel; and his great-grandchildren: Max Brooks, Molly Brooks, and Finley Lindsey.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Monday, August 22, 2022, from 10:00-11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 606 N. Walnut St. in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Josh Owens and Rev. Tim Little officiating.
