Ralph Ardis Horne, age 91, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at home. He was born in Chowan County, NC on December 8, 1921 to the late John Franklin Horne and the late Nell Bennett Horne. He was a mechanic and tow truck driver for Lumberton Ford Motor Company where he worked for over forty years. He was also a member of the Fayetteville Regional Model-A Car Club. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Horne. Mr. Horne is survived by his daughters, Sandra H. Austin of Lumberton and Dr. Amelia Dale Horne of North Potomac, MD; a brother, Wallace Ray Horne of Palm Desert, CA; a sister Velora Craft of River Bend; and four grandchildren, Joel C. Bryan, Marcus A. Bryan, Adam El-Khorazaty and Jill-Ann El-Khorazaty. A time for visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
