Mrs. Rachel Ann Roberts Russell, age 71, of Lumberton, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Highland Acres Nursing and Rehab Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on September 27, 1942 to the late Wilbur Kelly Roberts, Sr. and the late Seawell Holland Roberts. Mrs. Russell is survived by her husband, James Preston Russell of the home; two sons, Kenny Russell of Lumberton and James Ray Russell of the home; one daughter, Glenda Williams of Florida; one brother, Wilbur K. Roberts, Jr. of Lumberton; two sisters, Janice Roberts Jones of Lumberton and Pat Vestal of Kernersville, NC; two grandchildren, Jimmy Preston Russell and Sarah Grace Russell, both of Smithfield, VA and a host of other relatives and friends. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 12:00-2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 3:00PM at Roberts Family Cemetery on Roberts Road with Rev. Bob Jordan officiating.
