Rachel Ann Ivey Britt, age 72, of Lumberton, NC died on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on April 11, 1946 to the late Jacob Berry Ivey and the late Annie Neal Townsend.  She was a registered nurse for Robeson County Public Health.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joe Britt, Jr.; and a brother, Jacob Berry Ivey, Jr.

Mrs. Britt is survived by her husband, Joe Britt of the home; son, Joseph Richard "Ricky" Britt (Barbie) of Lumberton and Barry Neil Britt (Sabrina) of Savannah, GA; sisters, Pauline Butler of Dublin and Myrtle Wilson of Dudley; grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Ellis Carter, Courtney Nicole Britt, Joseph Richard Britt II, Ethan Gage McNamara, and Madison Jo Britt; one great-grandchild, Oliver Lamb; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Britt.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Raft Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Hall officiating.  A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.  Burial will be private.
