Quintalyn Taylor Byrd, 59, of Lumberton, NC died on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County, NC on April 19, 1952 to the late C.R. Taylor and Emma Lee Brooks Taylor. She worked as a legal secretary for attorney Bruce W. Huggins.

Mrs. Byrd is survived by her husband, Justin Byrd, Jr. of the home; a son Jason Scott Byrd of the home; a daughter, Emily Christian Byrd of Lumberton; a sister, Jacquelyn T. Adcox and husband Keith of Lumberton; and three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at New Hollywood Cemetery with Rev. David Holloway officiating.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
