Phyllis McArthur, age 64, of Lumberton, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 26, 1948 in Rogersville, TN. She previously worked as an insurance representative for Jefferson Pilot.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, John Douglas McArthur.

Mrs. McArthur is survived by her husband, Bobby K. McArthur of the home; her mother, Imogene Burton of Lumberton; her daughter, Angela Burton Holmes of Lumberton; three sisters, Katherine Aubin, Sheila Atkinson and Charlene Butler, all of Lumberton; three grandchildren, Candice, Courtney and Justin; four great-grandchildren, Landon, Braydon, Chloe and Madison; and her special Chihuahua, Pablo.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. James Dobson officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery in Rowland.

The family will receive friends at the graveside following the services.
