Phyllis Cassell Herring, 86, of Fairmont, NC, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Nippa, KY on October 7, 1936 to the late Titus & Velma Cassell.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Hubert Herring; her brother, Eugene Cassell; and three sisters: Janet Hawley, Barbara Davis, and Nancy Herring.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Pastor Ed Wilcox officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the graveside.
