Ms. Phyllis Ivey Gray, age 63 of 104 N. Cedar St. Proctorville, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, N.C. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Ivey Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont from 7:00-9:00 PM. Ms. Gray was born July 31, 1950 in Robeson County. She was a Sergent First Class Retired US Army Desert Storm Veteran. At the present time she was employed by Clayburn Walters Timber Co. She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Ivey. She is survived by a son Chris Gray and wife Renee of Fairmont; her mother, Ithama Lane Ivey of Proctorville; one brother, Lane Ivey of Orrum; one sister, Peggy Jacobs of Wilmington; five grandchildren, Mitchell Holmes, Christine Holmes, Steven Gray, Eban Holmes, and Jarrett Holmes; three nieces, Terri Jacobs, Sharon Collins, and Leslie Fuller; three nephews, Shane Jacobs, Tuck Ivey and Jason Ivey.
