Phyllis MiChele "Chele" Lewis, 55, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024.

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

She was born on February 23, 1969 in Lumberton, North Carolina to Billy and Phyllis Allen. After graduating from Littlefield High School, Chele attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She married her beloved husband, Ray Lewis, in 1998. Together, they had 4 children: Stephen, Nikki, Chelsie, and Zak.

Chele loved spending time with her family. She had a quick wit and a kind spirit. She never missed an opportunity to let those she loved know just how she felt.

She was preceded in joining the Lord by her mother, Phyllis Allen, and both her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Lewis, their four children, Stephen Lewis, Nikki Bates, Chelsie Suggs, and Zak Lewis; father, Wilton "Billy" Allen, Jr (Brenda); brothers Wilton "Bill" Allen, III, Jason Lloyd Allen (Teresa); and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service is scheduled for 3:30 pm on December 8, 2024 at Floyd Memory Gardens, Old Whiteville Road, Lumberton, North Carolina.
