Phillip Wade Smith, age 54, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Rock Hill, SC. Phillip was born on October 31, 1970 at Shaw Air Force Base, SC to Kenneth Rudolph Smith and HuVetta Thompson Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother, HuVetta Thompson Smith and a sister, Tanya Evette Smith.

Phillip is survived by his father, Kenneth R. Smith, many aunts, uncles and cousins, a special cousin; Kimberly Walters, two special young ladies; Allie and Casey Eyers, who he watched grow up and have become  a very important part of his life and numerous friends through his work.

Phillip began his work career with Flur Corporation at DuPont and later moving to Day and Zimmerman Construction, Most recently, he worked for BHI Energy, a nuclear power energy construction firm where he worked as an electrician.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery, 400 E. 24th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samaritans Purse in honor of Phillip.
