Phillip Craven Huggins, 55, of Sunset Beach, NC went to be with his Heavenly Father after a long illness on January 31, 2012.

Born August 17, 1956, he graduated from high school in Fairmont, NC. Phil was the owner and operator of several ice cream shops in Lumberton, Pembroke and Sunset Beach, NC. Phil was the son of the late R.C. Huggins and Lizzie Britt Huggins of Fairmont, NC. He lived in the White Lake area of NC in the 1990??s. He later moved to Charlotte, NC and became the manager of several different apartment complexes until his illness, when he moved to Sunset Beach, NC to be
with family. Phil was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairmont, NC. He was a kind, caring, loving man who never met a stranger which
was a beautiful trait he had in common with his father, R.C. Huggins. Phil loved to play the piano and did so beautifully without ever
having had a single lesson.

Phil was predeceased in death by his father, Robert Craven ??R.C.? Huggins, his mother, Lizzie Britt Huggins, his brother Robert Huggins,his paternal and maternal grandparents and his stepmother, Margaret Griffin Huggins, who he loved and referred to as his ??mama?.

He is survived by four sisters, Jennifer Huggins Larson, Brenda Bullock and Gloria Ivey of Fairmont and Vicki Carroll of Myrtle Beach, SC, a brother, Will McNeill of Pearland, TX, two aunts, Joyce Russell of Leland, NC and Lema Collins of Fairmont, NC and other extended family members and friends.

Family will receive friends at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont, NC on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 6:00-7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life
memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM in the chapel.
