Perry Wayne Hunt 52 of Lumberton, NC departed this life into his eternal resting place on May 5, 2022

Perry was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vester and Julie C. Hunt and maternal grandparents Joseph and Leola Hammonds Hunt.

Perry was born to Larry and Mazie Hunt on August 30, 1969.

Perry leaves to cherish his memories his mother Mazie Hunt of Fairmont, NC, his father Larry Hunt and wife Evelyn of Lumberton, NC. Two brothers, Larry D. Hunt of Smithfield, NC and Terry L. Hunt and wife Dr. Kelly Hunt of Scenery Hill, PA.  Two sisters, Sherry Hunt of Fairmont and Laury Whittemore and husband John of Hope Mills, NC his maternal aunt Joyce Allen of Fairmont, NC and uncle Gerald Hunt of Lumberton, NC, Six nieces, Ashley Dewitt and husband Dan of Scenery Hill, PA, and Chelsey Hunt of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lily Hunt, Lilac Chavis, Azalea McGhee and Blu Whittemore of Hope Mills, NC, two nephews Logan Hunt of Washington, PA and Larry D. Hunt Jr. of Charlotte, NC, 9 great nieces and one step sister Audrey Strong of Lumberton, NC.  Perry also leaves to cherish his memories several family and friends whom have cared for him deeply over the years.

Perry was a kind, respectful and compassionate person, he was always happy to see friends and family, he would give you the shirt off of his back and help you in any way that he could. Perry loved helping his dad and was always willing to help do odd and end jobs around the house.

Perry will forever be missed and loved by his family and the friends he made over the years.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont, NC. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00pm at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel with Revs. Ricky Burnett and Hilton Woodell officiating.

Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
