Peggy Ann Stephens Hardin Tew, 66, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Golden Living Center of Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on September 18, 1946 to the late Otis Ray Stephens, Sr. and the late Lola Lucille Hardee Stephens. She was formerly employed as a supervisor at Aerospace Manufacturing. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her aunt, Maggie Vera Hardee Todd, and her brother, Otis Ray Stephens, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Byrd and husband, JT, of Lumberton; two sons, William Hardin and wife, Natalie, of Kernersville, and Stephen Hardin and wife, Karla, of Angier; her former husband and father of her children, Sonny Hardin, of Lumberton; her sister, Helen Rose Prevatte and husband, Linwood, of Lincolnton; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one aunt, one niece, two great-nieces, a host of cousins and friends, and two special cousins, Sherry Carroll and Ray Hardee.
