Pearleen Sealey Skipper, age 90, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on March 5, 1925 to the late David Foster and Maude Herring Sealey. She previously worked as a secretary for R. M. Skipper Construction. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert Maxie Skipper. Mrs. Skipper is survived by her sons, Bruce Jennings Sealey (Brenda) of Lumberton, Morris Martin (Sherry) of Greer, SC, and Robert Edward Skipper (Charlotte) of Lumberton; a daughter, Carolyn Marie Pearce (Charles) of Fries, VA; brothers Grover Sealey of Fairmont and Clinton Sealey of Lumberton; a sister, Mollie Jean Stallings of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at East Lumberton Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
