Ms. Patty Jane McRae Griffin Floyd, age 76, of Fairmont, NC, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at her home.

Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Margaret Graham McRae; her husband, Warner Grey \\"Shot\\" Griffin and her sister, Joan McRae Echerd.

She began working for Dr. Inman & Dr. Pate at Fairmont Medical Clinic and ended her 51 year career as a Medical Technolgist at South Robeson Medical Clinic in 2009. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairmont, NC and the Ashpole Book Club.

Mrs. Floyd is survived by two daughters, Wanda Grey Griffin Berry of Fairmont, NC and Wendy Griffin Downing and husband, David of Wilmington, NC; one son, Horace Voyd Griffin and wife, Andrea of Albemarle, NC; five grandchildren, Suzanne Perry, Carrie & Sarah Downing, and Greyson and Ross Griffin; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Martin of Troy, NC.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Fairmont with Rev. Harold McDonald officiating.

Burial will follow in the Inman-Griffin Family Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, October 18, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC.
