Patsy Joan Moody, of Lumberton, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling on cruise ships in her free time.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles William Patterson and Marion Joan Batten, one brother, Charles Patterson, and her loving husband, Jackie Moody.

She is survived by her sons, Scott Moody and wife Rene of Elizabethtown, NC and John Moody and wife Angie Bliss of Danube, MN; her daughter, Jackie Cochran and husband Ron Gendron of Lumberton, NC; her brother, Terry Patterson, and wife, Velvie, of Fletcher, NC; her sister, Cheri Kempster, and husband, William, of Forest City, NC; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and her friend and roommate, Patsy Chavis.

She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
