Mrs. Patsy A. Chavis, 7431 North Chicken Road in Lumberton, NC was born May 18, 1957. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Chester Chavis; her mother, Pernell Haggins, her father, June Haggins; and a brother, Clyde Terron Oxendine. Mrs. Chavis leaves behind two sons, Patrick Chavis and wife Larrese and Chester Jr. Haggins and wife Ashley, all of Lumberton; a daughter, Margie Chavis and husband David Norris of Shannon; four sisters, Rebecca Locklear of Rowland, Rita Delima and Regina Oxendine of Lumberton, Cloise Berry of Collie Springs; a brother, Tonie Haggins of Shannon; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends; special friends, Wardell Hunt Cintara and Ryan of Pembroke; and a special thanks to Southeastern Hospice, Carolyn Brewington and Vickie Lambert. It's impossible to name everyone who has supported our family during this time. We want to give a special thanks to all who showed your love and support. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Sandcutt Cemetery in Pembroke. A time of visitation will follow the service.
